In Madden NFL , the winning formation, the leading offensive quarterback (QB), kneels immediately after receiving a service from the center, usually at halftime or at the end of the game. The purpose of this is to allow the remaining time (usually only a few seconds) to run out. Although the offense will lose some yards, this method can minimize the chance of losing the ball and prevent the opponent from having the opportunity to counterattack. When using the winning formation, the QB will not receive too much attention from the defender or even physical contact, especially when the defender is behind by a large margin. The players on both sides continue to play on the court more out of the morality of competitive sports, and no one wants to risk injury for unchangeable results. To reduce the possibility of dropping the ball as much as possible, QBs usually have two running backs (RB) standing next to them. If a ball is dropped, the RBs need to go forward and get the ball back
